Teachers’ fourth national conference ended

The teachers’ fourth national conference organized and initiated by National Center for Teacher Professional Development has ended.

For two days, the conference "Learners Cross Competence Development” was in progress with general sessions and report presentations in the thematic sections. Up to one hundred public and private school teachers participated in the event, and the fifty-nine presented their reports.

The reports were grouped according to various themes: literacy development; Intercultural competencies; Digital and quantitative literacy development; Training in disaster risk management (including pupils with special educational needs); also, environmental literacy development.

The reports during the conference were also presented by the National Center for Teacher Professional Development employees on the role of the democratic culture competencies, improvement of learner achievements in exact and natural sciences, teaching through experiments and nature awareness education.

An interesting exposition by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) was presented at the conference. Teachers, in particular, physics teachers had the opportunity to get acquainted with the CERN Collider photo materials, which contained various allegories and associations about the origin of the universe.

The competition for the conference was announced in October. The school subject consultants from National Center for Teacher Professional Development selected 59 best reports out of 300 applications.
