Final Round of II National Contest of Georgian children and Youth Choral Groups held

Under the organization of Georgian Choral Society, since 15 April of this year, the second national contest of Georgian Children and Youth Choral groups has been held across the country.

The second round of the contest was held in Tbilisi State Conservatory Recital Hall and Georgian Patriarchate television “Ertsulovneba” hall. The final rounds of the contest nominated winners among them 16 choral groups are from public schools.

The contest is organized by Georgian Choral Society, and supported by Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatory, E. Mikeladze Central Music School, Tbilisi City Hall, Youth Center of Patriarchate, Folklore State Centre of Georgia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, as well as the National Center for Teacher Professional Development. 

The contest aims to support and monitor children and youth choral groups, promote academic choral singing, preserve national singing traditions and promote the work of Georgian composers. 

The gala concert and award ceremony will be held at the Conservatoire Grand Hall on May 21.
