The National Center for Teacher Professional Development has started a study tour for inclusive education specialists. The first workshop was held within the tour where Jana Kvachadze, an inclusive education expert consultant presented the host school principals to the teachers and introduced the study tours objectives.

The training tour aims at promoting inclusive education in the regions and sharing experience of successful practices with specialists in the regional schools.

In the course of the tour, teachers will learn about the effective strategies for teaching and integrating special needs students in the class as well as find out the factors that contribute to the success of inclusive education in schools.

Under the competition announced by the TPDC in March of this year 30 specialists were selected. The selected specialists will be distributed in 10 inclusive schools where they will work under the guidance of supervisors.

The study tour has been held for already the second time. The Center started the project last year.
