The number of the participants of the program "eTwinning plus" of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development has increased by 250 teachers. The Center organized an information meeting for newly registered teachers. At the meeting, the project coordinator introduced the specifics of the online portal of the program, the activities planned throughout the year and the current news. The coordinator also talked about the benefits of the program for teachers and students and its connection with the National Curriculum.

At the meeting the program trainer-ambassadors were invited to participate who shared their experience in participation in the program, introduced successful projects and talked about the ways and tools which assisted them to implement the projects effectively. Also, they introduced the criteria and practical examples to obtain the quality mark.

"600 teachers -such an impressive number of the program participants has been reported first this year. This indicates that the benefit received from it is visible to the teachers and hence the interest is growing "- said the program coordinator Khatia Matkava.

It should be noted that this year the program first has launched online trainings, meaning that the program participants can take part in trainings through the portal without leaving their homes.

The National Center for Teacher Professional Development has been implementing the program School Teachers Online System Involvement and Collaboration with European Countries (eTwinning Plus) since 2013 and aims to connect the teachers of different countries and in this way contribute to their professional development.
