Teacher and School Director Professional Development Project running trainings for teachers in Adjara

"Millennium Challenge Account - Georgia" Teacher and School Development Professional Development Project, which is implemented by the National Center for Teacher Professional Development, is running trainings for teachers in order to improve the quality of teaching and school management.

The two-day training on student-centered teaching methods is currently being attended by more than 500 VII-XII grade exact and natural sciences, geography and English language teachers in Batumi, Kobuleti, Keda and Khelvachauri.

The teachers are being trained is the first module of the general skills training course "Student-centered learning environment characteristics". The training module consists of 12 contact hours and includes loads of practical activities.

The long term course of teacher professional development consists of three modules of general skills and abilities and a subject methodology module. The course for each group will continue for 9 months and will promote the implementation of the knowledge and skills acquired during the trainings.

The course is provided by certified trainers trained by School of Trainers at National Center for Teacher Professional Development.

Millennium Challenge Account - Georgia -"Teacher and School Director Professional Development Project" is being implemented by National Center for Teacher Professional Development Center with the financial support of Millennium Challenge Corporation and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Georgia.
