Training of non-Georgian teacher trainers in progress

In the scope of the project "Non-Georgian school teacher professional development program", the trainer training has been in progress taken by bilingual supporting teachers of the program. The teachers have been selected for the program through the competition and have taken the university course on "Georgian Language Training Program".

The training participants, after the successful completion thereof, will train the teachers who after the completion of the Georgian language course have confirmed to possess A2 level in Georgian language. The teachers will take the training module - "Learning process planning, management and evaluation" in Georgian language.

To date, 23 facilitators have been trained under the "Non-Georgian teacher professional development project".

National Center for Teacher Professional Development has carried out the Non-Georgian Teacher Professional Development Program since 2016 which includes the programs implemented in the previous years: "Teach Georgian as the Second Language" (2009-2015) and "Georgian Language for Future Success" (2011-2015). The program is designed to promote non-Georgian school / sector teacher professional development and improve the quality of teaching and learning through the improvement of state language teaching.
