School subject trainings in native language launched for non-Georgian teachers

National Center for Teacher Professional Development has started provision of school subject trainings for non-Georgian schools teachers in the framework of Non-Georgian School Teacher Professional Development Program. The first phase includes trainings in the Kvemo Kartli region on history and physics teaching methodology.

The trainings are held in teachersnative languages. To this end, the Center, a few months ago through the competition, selected Azerbaijani, Russian and Armenian trainers for the subjects provided in the national curriculum; in addition training modules have been specially developed and approved and translated into three languages.

At this stage 40 teachers are involved in the trainings. From a new academic year, the number of those wishing to participate in the trainings will increase substantially.
