National Center for Teacher Professional Development launches the third stage of methodology training cycle for teacher- consultants

National Center for Teacher Professional Development launched the third stage of the long-term methodology training cycle within the vocational development program for non-Georgian school teachers - Georgian as the second language methodology and integrated teaching characteristics of the subject and language – which is aimed at introducing modern methods for development of reading skills when teaching Georgian as a second language. The training program will involve 105 teacher-consultants.

Within the framework of the course, teachers have already taken 2 training modules, in which teachers were introduced to general teaching methods of the subject and competences required for a teacher of Georgian as a second language, as well as listening skills development methodology. At each stage of the course, teachers will work on the online portal, prepare lesson plans according to the training and will receive individual consultations from the center experts.

The professional development program for non-Georgian school teachers is aimed at strengthening of the state language, professional development of non-Georgian school teachers, improvement of teaching-learning quality and promotion of civil integration process.
