National Center for Teacher Professional Development in collaboration with German Experts starts working on Guideline for Vocational Education Teachers. The guideline can be used as a tool for self-assessment in professional skills for vocational education teachers and a tool for pedagogical course development for Vocational Institutions.

The European colleges’ experience as well as Western Teaching standards will be considered during the guideline development.

Expert visits in Georgia is supported by the UN development program. The German experts have already got acquainted with Vocational Education Standards and Code of ethics. Also the vocational education development strategy with guideline development as one of its components.

Workshops will last until September 4. The final meeting is planned to be held in the UN office. Visiting experts, together with Georgian experts, teachers and principals of Vocational Institutions will sum up the Vocational Education Teacher Standards and guideline structure.
