TPDC Director Giorgi Machabeli visited the site in Zugdidi where building of TPDC Samagrelo-Upper Svaneti Region Teacher House is envisioned.

The major function of the Teacher House will be the Samagrelo-Upper Svaneti Region teacher professional development by offering various long and short term trainings, seminars, conferences and other events to teachers.

Giorgi Machebeli surveyed the territory with Zugdidi Assembly Head, Merab Kvaraia, who expressed full support of the project.

Apart from Zugdidi, construction of Teacher Houses are planned in Ozurgeti, Akhaltsikhe and Telavi regions. TPDC has already designed the conceptual model of regional Teacher Houses.

Implementation of infrastructural projects is one of the items on TPDC priority list, since teachers in all regions must have chances of professional development within their regions.
