Teacher's House Opened in Batumi

Minister of Educaiton and Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze, Minister of Education of AjaraTavamaishvili and Director of National Center for Teacher Professional Development Gia Mamulashvili opened a Teacher House in Batumi. Representatives of the Ministry attended ongoing trainings and talked with teachers.

 

Batumi Teacher House was opened in Adjara Education Foundation. More than 7000 teachers are employed on the territory of Autonomous Republic of Adjara. Batumi Teacher House shall serve each of them. It is possible to train up to 200 teachers at once. Seminars, master-classes, conferences etc. will be held.

 

Content of the Teacher House is run by National Center for Teacher Professional Development, more specifically, the Center shall:

 

  • provide training and professional development of selected trainers;
  • encourage cooperation of trainers with subject consultants employed in the Center.
  • provide Batumi Teacher House with training modules;
  • provide the Foundation with several copies of publications on a regular basis.
  • provide involvement of the Center staff in programs carried out by the Foundation etc.

 

 

 

 

Teacher Houses are operating in Kutaisi and Tbilisi. It is planned to open Teacher Houses in other regions of Georgia.
