Registration for Program “Georgian Language for Future Success” has started

Teachers’ Professional Development Center has started registration for the program “Georgian Language for Future Success”. Director of the Center Gia Mamulashvili made a special statement regarding the issue.

Applicants are required to register electronically on the following web-sites: www.mes.gov.georwww.tpdc.ge(http://mes.gov.ge/content.php?id=2383&module=form_builder&proj_id=1) from May 27 – June 30.

Participants of the Program will teach Georgian Language in schools of Kvemo Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kakheti. They will live in local families and stay in the region for at least 1 academic year. Before starting work within the program, candidates will pass special training in principles of pedagogy.

All residents of Georgia whose native language is Georgian and who possess minimum bachelor degree from accredited higher educational institution are eligible to apply within the program. Candidates will get full grant from teachers’ Professional Development Center for their MA studies after participation in the Program and after successfully passing Master course exams.

The aim of the program “Georgian Language for Future Success” is to encourage ethnic minorities living in Kvemo Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kakheti regions to learn national language within the framework of Strategy for Civic Integration of Ethnic Minorities. The Program has been carried out since 2011 and several hundred volunteer teachers are working within the program.
