A workshop organized within the Initial Teacher Education Support Program

A 3 day workshop was organized within the Initial Teacher Education Support Program concerning the program mid-term result and future plans. The workshop were attended by: the Program coordinator, trainer-consultants, program participant teachers and other TPDC staff.

The workshop tried to identify the program participants professional needs and plan works on future module projects. The training- consultants presented the information on carried out trainings, consultations and notes taken during the classroom observation. The teacher inductees also presented their work to the audience and summed up their professional experiences. The teacher induces learned about the the professional development activities within the “Teacher Induction, Professional Development and Career Advancement Scheme”

The teacher inductees’ professional development module format has been outlined by the end of the meeting.

Initial Teacher Education Support Program has been launched as a pilot program from this academic year and aims at supporting teacher inductees with up to 2 year work experience in professional development via offering them various trainings, workshops, seminars, conferences and individual consultations.
