The teachers’ fourth national conference organized and initiated by
National Center for Teacher Professional Development has ended.
For two days, the conference "Learners Cross Competence Development”
was in progress with general sessions and report presentations in the thematic
sections. Up to one hundred public and private school teachers participated in the
event, and the fifty-nine presented their reports.
The reports were grouped according to various themes: literacy
development; Intercultural competencies; Digital and quantitative literacy
development; Training in disaster risk management (including pupils with
special educational needs); also, environmental literacy development.
The reports during the conference were also presented by the National
Center for Teacher Professional Development employees on the role of the
democratic culture competencies, improvement of learner achievements in exact
and natural sciences, teaching through experiments and nature awareness
education.
An interesting exposition by the European Organization for Nuclear
Research (CERN) was presented at the conference. Teachers, in particular,
physics teachers had the opportunity to get acquainted with the CERN
Collider photo materials, which contained various allegories and associations
about the origin of the universe.
The competition for the conference was announced in October. The school
subject consultants from National Center for Teacher Professional Development
selected 59 best reports out of 300 applications.
