A meeting was held at the National Center for Teacher Professional Development for music teachers, IN Borjomi and Akhaltsikhe, where teachers got thorough information about the second national contest for “Children and Youth Coral Championship ” organized by the Georgian Coral Society. 

The meeting were attended by: Rusudan Takaishvili-TPDC Expert-Consultant, Liana Chonishvili-Chairman of Georgian Coral Society, Nana Valishvili- Georgian Folk Song unit head at the Foklore State Center of Georgia and George Kopatze- Akhaltsikhe Mayor. They expressed their support to contest organizers.

“Children and Youth Coral Championship ” has been held for the second time this year. The contest aims at popularization of academic, coral songs, preserving national singing traditions, supporting children and youth coral teams, popularization of Georgian composers’ works and discovering new voices in coral performances.

The contest is organized by the Georgian Coral Society and among its supports apart from the National Center for Teacher Professional Development are : V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire, E.Mikaladze Music Center, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, Foklore State Center of Georgia, etc.
