Teacher’s Standard

Teacher’s standard consists of two parts. First and basic part is common for teachers of all subjects and subject groups and implies essential pedagogic skills and knowledge which will form the basis for pupil and result-oriented learning process. Also will help them conduct the learning and assessment process.

It should be noted, that during certification, the part that tests skills is based on the main part of teacher’s standard.

The second so called subject part of teacher’s standard implies those subjects and subject-groups that are mentioned in national curriculum and are compulsory. These subjects are as follow:

Teacher’s standard in Fine and Applied Arts;

Science teacher’s Standard;

Professional standards in Science for teachers of primary grades (I-VI grades);

Professional standards in Mathematics for teachers of primary grades. (I-VI grades);

Professional standards in Georgian Language and Literature for teachers of primary grades (I-VI grades);

Professional standards in Social Science for teachers of primary grades;

Professional standard for Sports and Physical Education teachers;

Professional standard for IT teachers;

Professional standard for Social Science teachers;

Professional standard for teachers of Georgian as the Second Language;

Professional standard for teachers of multilingual education (primary, basic and middle education);

Professional standard for teachers of Georgian Language and Literature;

Professional standard for teachers of Foreign Languages;

Professional standard for special teachers;

Professional standard for teachers of Mathematics;

Professional standard for teachers of Music;
