In the National Center for Teacher Professional Development, the winners of the grant competition -"English Language Teachers Association", "Civic Education Teachers Forum", "Georgian Professional Chemists Association" and "Association-Bio"- gave presentations about their researches. The event was attended by the staff of the Center and other interested school subject associations.
At the meeting, the representatives of school subject associations presented a comparative analysis of the National Curriculum subject standards and the teacher’s professional standards and the recommendations that will be taken into account in the updated version of the teacher’s professional standard.
In November 2016, TPDC initiated a grant competition "Involvement of school subject teachers' associations in the elaboration of recommendations for the professional standard of teachers". The aim of the project was to involve subject teachers’ associations in the field of vocational development and increase their activities in the process, which will contribute to strengthening external factors and provide the conditions for gradual decentralization of the Center's services.
The Center is planning a number of events in the future to increase the involvement of subject and other educational service providers in order to diversify the professional development policy of the teacher.
