According to the amendments introduced to the "Teacher Pre-service, Professional Development and Career Advancement Scheme" based on the Order № 35 of the Government of Georgia issued on January 26, 2017, the scheme have been subject to relevant changes. 

Namely:

1. The list of activities in the Action Plan shall no longer be divided into mandatory and additional activities. Each category indicates the activity that a teacher should implement in order to retain the status of the teacher. Notably that majority of the activities can be used by a teacher to retain the status as well as for career advancement.

2. The Action Plan is different for all statuses and consists of activities provided for in the scheme.

3. The Action Plan consists of all activities that a teacher may need to change the status or for career advancement. The teacher selects the activities in the Action Plan which s/he plans to carry out in the current academic year.

4. The amendments introduced in the Scheme have provided for the contextual or technical revision of mandatory and optional additional activities according to the statutes. If the activities in your professional folder and your action plan are bolded / coloured, this means that you cannot select these activities again. The evaluation of the teachers whose activities have not been assessed by the team of evaluators and respective credits are not reflected in the (eSchool) database, the evaluation team will have an opportunity to make such assessment within the period as defined by the individual legal act of the Director of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development within the 2016-2017 academic year.

Note: The amendments introduced in the Scheme have provided for the contextual or technical revision of mandatory and optional additional activities according to the statutes. The teachers, who have already checked the above activities, or have carried out them but have not yet uploaded the relevant documentation thereof, shall check the activities again mentioned in the Action Plan in accordance with the amendments.
