Within the framework of the European Days, the conference "Teacher –Guide to Europe" organized by NATO and the European Union Center, with the support of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation was held at the Teacher’s House.

The conference was opened by David Bakradze, the State Minister of Georgia for European and Euro-Atlantic integration, Priit Turk, the Ambassador of Estonia in Georgia, Ia Tikanadze, the Director of Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES) Office in Georgia, Tamaz Marsagishvili, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, and George Machabeli, the Director of National Center for Teacher Professional Development.

The conference aims to provide teachers with the information about the importance and prospects of the EU integration, the opportunities that European projects offer them, also help them implement the shared experiences and knowledge acquired in the learning process.

The registration for the session was announced by the National Center for Teacher Professional Development in April that resulted in selection of 110 geography, history and civil education teachers from Tbilisi and the regions. The teachers submitted interesting projects ​​in order to implement European subject matters and promote European values among the public. The conference nominated 10 winner teachers who will attend a training course in Estonia.

The project "Teacher – Guide to Europe" was created in 2014 and carries out workshops and competitions with the view of promoting European values ​​and implementation thereof within the educational system.
