16 Chinese Teachers joined the program “Teach and Learn with Georgia”. The volunteers teach Chinese in private and public schools and universities of Georgia.Informative meeting was held for the volunteers at TPDC, providing the volunteers with information on Georgian culture-specifics, history and educational system. National Center for Teacher Professional Development signed memorandum with the educational institutions.  Last year French Language teachers joined the program, apart from the English and Chinese language teachers. The volunteer   selection criteria have been elaborated further. The candidates with working experience in the educational sphere have been prioritized in the selection processes.  The volunteer contract terms have been extended too: the volunteers spend the complete, academic year at schools, increasing the chances of  foreign  language acquisition at schools. Canadian, French, British, American and Chinese teachers, whose native languages were English, French and Chinese were involved  in the program in 2015-2016. The volunteers have been disseminated in : Tbilisi, Adjara, Imereti, Guria, Kakhaeti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Lower-Svaneti, Samegrelo Upper-Svaneti  and Inner Kartli public schools.
