National Center for Teacher Professional Development held a reception to celebrate the World Teachers’ Day on October 5. More than 100 teachers had been congratulated with the professional day celebration by the Prime-Minister of Georgia - Irakli Garibashvili, Georgian Education and Science Minister- Tamar Sanikidze and National Center for Teacher Professional Development Director- Giorgi Machabeli.

Georgian Education and Science Minister- Tamar Sanikidze granted 3 teachers with appreciation badges. The Ministry of Education and Science award is granted to teachers for their distinguished contributions in bringing up the future generations. TPDC Director- Giorgi Machabeli awarded program participant and appreciated elderly teachers. 12 teachers have been awarded with appreciation deeds and gifts. 8 teachers of special need students have been awarded by “Liberty Bank”. The event was attended by the CEO of the Millennium Challenge Account- Georgia– Magda Maghradze, City Assembly Chairman-Giorgi Alibegashvili, NGO representatives and other invited guests.
