“Teacher-a guide to Europe” - conference initiated by information Center
on NATO and EU and organized by National
Center of Teachers’ Professional Development was held at Teacher’s House.
The conference was opened by
deputy minister of the Ministry of Science and Education Lia Gigauri, Head of
the Information Center on NATO and EU, Elene Gotsadze and director of
Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung representation in Georgia Ia Tikanadze.
The aim of the seminar was to
inform teachers about the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration and
to involve them actively in the process. It’s worth noting, that National
Center for Teachers’ Professional Development announced the registration on the
participation in the seminar in May. 70 geography , history and civics
education teachers were selected from Tbilisi and the regions as a result of
the registration. In the frame of the workshop, an exhibition of the contest of
wall-newspapers - "My European future ", regarding NATO and the
European Union was announced by the Information Center.
The seminar will last for two
days.
