Under the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science and the assistance of British Council Georgia National Center for Teachers’ Professional Development hosted a British expert Rob Luis.

The main purpose of the visit was to develop and pilot teachers’ professional development scheme.

Meetings were held in two phases. Firstly, Georgian experts provided Rob Luis with the comprehensive information about the scheme and introduced all the problems concerning the issue. On the other hand, the British expert got Georgian colleagues familiarized with the professional development scheme of the British Council. The second phase concluded with the discussion of the report and recommendations presented by the British expert.

It’s worth noting, that Rob Luis also held meetings with the representatives National Curriculum Department and National Examination Center as well as the members of international organization.
