TPDC launched a new training program for sports teachers

The National Center for Teacher Professional Development, for the first time in the history of general education of contemporary Georgia, has launched trainings for sports teachers.

The training-module, developed by the Inter-Agency Group, is implemented by the Georgian Physical Education and Sport State Teaching University.

During the training, sports teachers are trained to improve the theoretical knowledge and are also involved in practical activities. In addition to various issues included in the training course, a great emphasis is made on promoting healthy lifestyle.

Giorgi Machabeli, Director of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development, and Jemal Dzagania, Rector of Physical Education and Sport State Teaching University, got acquainted with the progress of the training course.

By the end of 2017, 750 sports teachers will have been trained.
