TPDC announces the competition for teachers for distance teaching of Georgian language

The National Center for Teacher Professional Development announces a competition for teachers for distance teaching of Georgian language within the framework of "Professional Development Program for Non-Georgian Language Teachers". The teachers selected through the competition will give lessons to Georgian students living abroad.

The sub-program "Remote Pilot School of Georgian Language" has been carried out since 2017 and is accessible to Georgian pupils living abroad through information-communication technologies.

Distant learning has been designed for students aged from 5 to 15 years. The program has up to 300 registered pupils at this stage and groups are actively arranged according to the age and level of language competence.

The aim of the program is to promote the spread of Georgian language and culture and maintain national identity among adolescents living abroad. The program is implemented by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia with the support of the State Minister for Diaspora Issues and the company "Microsoft - Georgia".
