National Center for Teacher Professional Development congratulates teachers on Professional Day

National Center for Teacher Professional Development hosted 100 teachers to celebrate the International Teacher’s Day.

At the solemn reception, George Machabeli, the Director of the Center, awarded 12 teachers involved in the Center programs, public schools and vocational schools in honor of their productive work and care for their own professional development. In addition, cash awards from the Liberty Bank were granted to "The Largest Lesson” 10 participating teachers.

The International Teacher's Day for the literary competition first time initiated in the Center’s history also revealed three winner writers who were awarded with cash prizes and presents.

The reception was also attended by Alexander Jejelava, the Minister of Education and Science, Lia Gigauri, the Deputy Minister, and the representatives of international and non-governmental organizations.

Since 1994, the world has celebrated the International Teacher‘s Day. National Center for Teacher Professional Development holds a traditional reception for teachers dedicated to this day.
