The teachers involved in the state language course within the scope of the "Non-Georgian school teacher professional development program” took the final test. The test consisted of written and oral parts. The course included 619 local teachers, and 572 participants were tested. At this stage, the results are being analyzed. Those successful teachers identified through the final assessment will receive a certificate of relevant level, and also professional skills trainings will be planned for them.

It should be noted that it is the first time local non-Georgian school teachers have been offered the State language course, which is aimed at improvements of the State language competence and level of civil integration, which, in turn, will help increase the participation of ethnic minority teachers in the Teacher Induction, Professional Development and Career Advancement scheme.

In the scope of the course, National Center for Teacher Professional Development offers public school teachers working in the ethnic minority regions (Kvemo-Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kakheti) to learn the state language A1and A2 levels and provide professional skills trainings on the spot.
