National Center for Teacher Professional Development announces a contest of professional development for teachers of physics at European Center for Nuclear Research Center in Geneva.

The competition is open to any public school practicing or head teachers, who have never visited the above-mentioned research Center under the National Center for Teacher Professional Development internship program.

The contest will be held in two stages. Candidates will be selected through the review of documents, and at the second stage the successful candidates will be interviewed and submit presentations.

Teachers selected through the contest will have the opportunity to visit a variety of scientific research labs within a week, conduct school experiments on the place, listen to lectures by Georgian and foreign physicists working in CERN on the issues of modern physics and its role in development of medicine, information technology and other fields.

For the last five years more than 100 teachers improved their qualification in CERN European Nuclear Research Center under the funding by the National Center for Teacher Professional Development.
