Teacher Support Materials in Armenian, Russian and Azeri Languages Distributed Among the Non-Georgian School Teachers

National Center for Teacher Professional Development started disseminating “Teacher Induction, Professional Development and Career Advancement Scheme” collection and part I of the Guideline in Armenian, Russian and Azeri Languages to non-Georgian school teachers throughout Georgia.

TPDC Director- Giorgi Machabeli and Deputy Director-Manana Ratiani met and delivered the support materials personally to the Tbilisi public school N 64 non-Georgian sector teachers.

The above mentioned materials have been translated within the “Non-Georgian School Teacher Professional Development” program and are targeted for 6902 non-Georgian teachers in 293 schools . Within the week “Teacher Induction, Professional Development and Career Advancement Scheme” collection and part I of the Guideline will be disseminated among the 27 ERC-s and non-Georgian schools within the territorial unit.

Electronic, translated versions of “Teacher Induction, Professional Development and Career Advancement Scheme” collection, part I of the Guideline and self-evaluation questionnaires were developed last year by TPDC, uploaded at the center web-site. In addition to this, Scheme video instructions in Russian, Azeri and Armenian languages with subtitles were developed as well.

The “Non-Georgian School Teacher Professional Development” program aims at promoting the professional development of non-Georgian school teachers and state language through improving the teaching and learning processes.
