The summative meeting of Vocational Teacher Professional Development Thematic Group was held at the National Center for Teacher Professional Development, attended by representatives of MoES Vocational Development Department, National Center for Quality Assurance, Professional Unions, International Organizations and Vocational Institutions.

Vocational Teacher Professional Development Thematic Group, acting with the support of the European Union, summed up the annual work.

Many projects have been set up by the thematic group, the “Vocational Education Teachers Training and Career Advancement “ as one the most important. The document aims at introduction of Vocational Teacher initial training and professional development regulations.

The Regulatory document had been evaluated as flexible by the Vocational Board, although some remarks have been made, later reflected in the final document draft version.

Currently the thematic group is discussing teacher qualification requirements and their compatibility with teacher pay.
