Meeting within the Project “ NATO –Choice for Peaceful and Sustainable Development”

A seminar “ NATO –Choice for Peaceful and Sustainable Development” was organized for teachers by the “Information Center on NATO and EU “ and NATO Liaison Office in Georgia. Around 30 Geography, History and Civic Education teachers from Tbilisi and Gori schools participated in the seminar.

The meeting was attended by Elene Gotsadze- Director of the “Information Center on NATO and EU “,William Lahew- Head of the NATO Liaison Office, David Zalkanian- Director of the Levan Mikeledze Fund, David Sikharulidze- Head of the Atlantic Councils and Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia- H.E. Zeki Levent Gümrükçü.

The meeting was hosted by TPDC and teachers had a chance to meet with the Geography and Civic Education Consultants and retrieve information on professional development opportunities.

The seminar aimed at providing teachers with information on NATO goals and objectives, NATO-Georgia relations and the Georgian Euro-Atlantic choices.

The seminar has been held for the second year by “Information Center on NATO and EU” and NATO Liaison Office in Georgia.
