World Sight Day observed in the National Center for Teacher Professional Development

World Sight Day was observed in the National Center for Teacher Professional Development. The event were attended by the representatives of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the Union of Blind of Georgia, NGO and special needs teachers and students.

The MoES and the Union of Blind of Georgia made presentations on the education history of the blind in Georgia. TPDC inclusive Education Consultant- Zhana Kvachadze talked about the TPDC activities carried out in support of the education of the blind in Georgia.

The guests had the chance to observe the equipments supporting the orientation of the blind and visually impaired people and the means and techniques used in the teaching process.

The works of the blind and visually impaired students had been exhibited at the event.

The event was closed by the fortepiano performance of a N202 Public School blind student Ana Sikhiashvili
