Giorgi Machabeli, Director-National Center for Teacher Professional Development and Giga Zedania- Rector-Ilia State University signed a Memorandum of Collaboration.

The Memorandum considers advancing TPDC and Ilia State University joint lab-base and its implementation for trainings and qualification enhancement of in-service as well as highly-qualified teachers. Part of TPDC labs alongside with the university labs will be located at the site available for more beneficiaries. All the above mentioned will help planning and carrying out mutual projects by students, teachers and researchers.

Advancing Exact and Natural Sciences and Information-Communication Technologies is one of the major priorities of the Georgian social-economic strategy development “Georgia 2020”. With this purpose in mind the training of the in-service and future teachers are planned within the project “ Exact and Natural Sciences and Information-Communication Technologies” .The Millennium Challenge Corporation donating up to 15 million dollars for the project.
