The National Center for Teachers’ Professional Development held a Teachers’ Professional Standard Guide presentation.

The prior importance of the Teachers’ standard is to manage teachers working process and promote continuous professional development. The standard includes all the requirements which a professional teacher should meet. It’s connected to the important documents as national curriculum and the goals of the general education.

According to the professional standard:

  • Teacher training and development programs are being smartened;
  • Teacher assessment instruments are being created;
  • Professional development ways and opportunities are being planned;
  • Professional development promotion events are being defined (recourses, etc.;)

Teachers’ Professional Standard was approved in 2008, although some amendments had to be made in the first version due to the new challenges.
