Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze awarded with certificates 114 participants of the third stream of “Georgian Language for Future Success” program. Volunteer teachers have been working at non-Georgian schools of Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kvemo Kartli and Kakheti for two school semesters and have successfully completed the Program.

Program “Georgian Language for Future Success” is implemented by National Center for Teacher Professional Development of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The project focuses on teaching Official Language to the ethnic minorities living in Georgia. Sending volunteer teachers to non-Georgian schools of Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kvemo Kartli and Kakheti is one of the main components of the program.

The teachers live in local families and together with teaching Georgian Language, they get the pupils involved in informal education, they set up clubs and help local families to learn Georgian language.

All residents of Georgia whose native language is Georgian and who possess bachelor degree are eligible for the Program. Candidates who have a desire to pursue MA studies shall receive 100% grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia after participating in the Program for one academic year. Additionally, the time period of working as a teacher within the Program will be added to their length of service record, thus, they will be able to continue working as a teacher and pass certification exams as well.

Currently, 6th selection contest is being announced within the framework of the Program. Selected participants shall live in local families and work at non-Georgia Public Schools.
