Memorandum of Cooperation

A memorandum was sighned by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, Teachers’ Professional Development Center and Adjara Education Fund. The parties agreed on the functioning of Teacher’s House in Batumi.

According to the memorandum, the financial, organizational and material-technical issues will be managed by the Ministry and the Fund, whereas the Teachers’ Professional Development Center will

  • Provide selected trainers with special trainings and professional development;
  •  promote cooperation between trainers and subject consultants;
  •  provide with training modules;
  •  regularly supply the center with several copies of periodic issues;
  • if necessary, the employers of the center will be involved in the programs that are implemented by the fund, etc.;

 

Batumi Teacher’s House is due to open in September. The House will be equipped with all the necessary facilities.

In the Autonomous Republic of Ajara more than 7000 teachers are employed in public as well as private schools. Batumi Teacher’s House will serve each and every teacher and will significantly increase professional development of the teachers.

Batumi Teacher’s House will be open on the basis of ‘Ajara Education Fund”, which has been functioning since 2011 and has its own infrastructure.
