The
delegation of the EC Education Department, together with the
representatives of the Eastern
Partnership countries in the field of education, visited the public
school N42 and learned about
the experience existing in Georgia in terms of
education for Democratic Citizenship and Human
Rights Education.
The introduction of a democratic education component
in general education is implemented with the support of a three-year joint project
of the Council of Europe and the European Union in which six countries
of the Eastern Partnership are involved. The summarizing conference of the
project was held on November 21 at the National Center for Teacher Professional
Development in which
representatives of the education field from Ukraine,
Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Moldova and Georgia participated. The participants
of the conference summarized the project and shared experiences and practices
obtained during the implementation process.
