The second round of the III National Competition of Children and Youth Choral Groups was held in Tbilisi State Conservatoire with the participation of Tbilisi and regional school choral groups. The event was attended by Rusudan Takaishvili, the music expert-consultant of the TPDC.

The contest aims to promote academic choral singing, preserve national singing traditions and support and develop youth choral groups.

The contest is organized by Georgian Choral Society, and supported by Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatory, E. Mikeladze Central Music School, Tbilisi City Hall, Youth Center of Patriarchate, Folklore State Centre of Georgia, and the National Center for Teacher Professional Development.

Gala concert and award ceremony will be held on June 2 of the current year at Tbilisi State Conservatoire.
