K. Kekelidze National
Center of Manuscripts and the National Center for Teacher Professional
Development have signed the Memorandum of Cooperation.
The
aim of the memorandum is to help secondary schools to use the most important
treasures of Georgian culture and history, richly illustrated unique Georgian
and foreign manuscripts, ancient printed and rare editions and memorial items collected
in the National Center of Manuscripts as effective learning resource. The Center collections comprises of many
fields and areas - history, law, geography, travel, philosophy, astrology,
mathematics, military and others.
For proper application and introduction of the above resources of the National
Center, the memorandum of cooperation has been signed with TPDC, which will
help to establish high standards of teaching profession, strengthen the status
of teacher’s profession, and raise the quality of teaching and learning for the
benefit of teachers, students and public.
The ceremony dedicated to the memorandum signature, guests had the opportunity
to visit the permanent exhibition "Georgian Manuscript", as well as a
special exhibition "The truth about February", which presented
materials from the personal archives of immigrants about February 25, 1921. The event was attended by school directors, teachers and
representatives of resource centers.
