15 physics teachers, who travelled to the European Nuclear Research Center (CERN) for trainings, have returned to Georgia.

During the week, the teachers visited various scientific research labs, conducted school experiments on the site, also listened to lectures given by Georgian and foreign physicists working in CERN on international issues of modern physics and its role in development of medicine, information technology and other fields. In addition, the teachers had the opportunity to familiarize with the methodology presented by a specially invited specialist on issues of teaching physics.

The teachers were selected through competition this summer and their internship has been fully funded by the National Center for Teacher Professional Development.

For the last 5 years, more than 100 teachers have been retrained at the Nuclear Research Center CERN. Except for physics teachers, National Center for Teacher Professional Development Teacher announces competitions every year for a variety of training programs.
