A meeting was held with
the Western Georgia Resource Centers (ERC) at the Kutaisi Public School N3. The
meeting concerned the challenges within the
“Teacher Induction, Professional Development and Career Advancement
Scheme” and were attended by the TPDC
Continuous Professional Development program Coordinator-Irina Samsonia, Expert
Consultant-Manana Ratiani and Head of
the Continuous Professional Development-Eketerine Sharashenidze.
ERC-s retrieved information on current and planned
activities presented by TPDC, whereas on the other hand they also provided TPDC
with the existing challenges and needs occurred at the “Teacher Induction,
Professional Development and Career Advancement Scheme” implementation pilot
stage. Meetings of similar formats will be held regularly and will result in
successful professional development scheme implementation.
Introduction of consultation mechanism within the “Teacher
Induction, Professional Development and Career Advancement Scheme” at schools
is envisioned. The consultations will be directed by the TPDC
trainer-consultants. TPDC will collaborate closely with ERC Heads to define the
consultation format and school territorial distribution.
Workshop of similar nature will be held with the
Western Georgia ERC on December 11.
