A
seminar “ NATO –Choice for Peaceful and Sustainable Development” was organized for teachers by the
“Information Center on NATO and EU “ and
NATO Liaison Office in Georgia. The seminar was hosted by TPDC. Teachers met
with TPDC Geography Consultants and
learned information on teaching the
natural disaster risks reductions at schools.
Around
30 Geography, History and Civic Education teachers from Tbilisi and Lagodekhi schools participated in
the project.
The
seminar aimed at providing teachers with information on NATO goals and
objectives, NATO-Georgia relations and the role of Georgia in development
of global security.
The
meeting is also planned with Giedrius
Poujuna, the Ambassador of the Republic of
Lithuania, who will share the Lithuanian NATO membership experiences, with
International Expert-Mikheil Darchiashvili and with Elene Gotsadze- Director of
the “Information Center on NATO and EU
“, who will talk about the information warfare, about the myths and real facts
of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
The
seminar has been held for the second year by
