National Center for Teacher Professional Development offers
trainings on“Mobility and
Orientation in Space for Blind and Visually Impaired People”. 6 participants are
currently involved in pilot trainings.
National Center for Teacher Professional Development has been involved in MoES and Norwegian Education and Research Ministry joint project “Implementing Inclusive Education in Professional
Education“ since 2015. The training
module “Mobility and Orientation in Space for Blind and Visually Impaired
People” have been developed within the project.
The trainings target audience
are teachers, parents and professionals working with visually impaired people. The trainings will teach techniques for
mobility and independent movement for visually impaired people.
After the pilot
trainings, the trainings will get approved and any teacher or interested candidate can attend the
trainings from 2016.
The second and third level of the training-modules are envisioned to be
developed from 2016, giving opportunities to specialist to advance their
knowledge further in this direction
