“Teacher Induction, Professional Development and Career Advancement Scheme” has been presented to school principals of the Samegrelo- Upper Svaneti schools, the summative meeting taking place in Zugdidi. TPDC representatives provided the audience with thorough information about the professional development scheme stages and its goals in general.

TPDC representatives have presented the scheme to : Zugdidi, Mestia, Abasha, Khobi, Martvili, Senaki, Tsalenjikha and Chkhorotsku public school principals.

“Teacher Induction, Professional Development and Career Advancement Scheme” will be enacted from September, 2015. This is a unified system oriented on teacher self-directed professional development and student success. The scheme aims at turning the profession into a more appealing one, increasing teacher salaries and improving the general education quality.
